Summoning wonder
Naming the wildflowers in your squaremile
A midweek pause to wonder and maybe wander.
How is the season changing around you?
There’s a lot going in in nature as we approach our equinoxes!
Especially on the ground. The wildflowers are talking to us. Have you noticed?
To notice something is to stream the power of your gaze towards it. to differentiate it and to foreground it in your field of awareness….
Once again I would love to draw your gaze to the wildflowers near you, in your square mile, in your corner of the world.
Wherever you are, you can always allow your gaze to wander and alight on beauty. Your gaze becomes a way to resource your being, to change your state. It is a way to be heliotropic, like a sunflower: lightseeking.
This quote from Robert MacFarlane says it all for me. I wanted to share it with you along with four of the wild woodland flowers here in my square mile, and I wish you a moment in the middle of your week to feel into its truth.
We are gathered here from around our earth and gradually approaching our spring and autunn equinoxes next month!
Who are the flowers in your own square mile this time of year? I had a little look at some of our places….maybe you will see
Narines?
Wake robins?
White trilliums?
Dogtooth violets?
Wild blue Phlox?
If you would like to get together, our next time together is on Saturday May 16th.
